As employees of the Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services, our mission is to work together to assess and understand the needs of our community to facilitate independence and provide appropriate services in a caring and compassionate manner.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30 pm: Closed all federal holidays.

The Ottawa County Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP) program offers no-cost home repairs and rehabilitations to income-eligible Ottawa County homeowners. Repairs may include roofs, water heaters, furnaces, electrical, insulation, ADA modifications, plumbing, and more.

PUBLIC NOTICE: The Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services (OCDJFS) will hold a public meeting at 4:00pm, Monday, June 1, 2026, at  the Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services, 8043 W State Route 163 in Oak Harbor, OH 43449.  The purpose of this public meeting is to seek input on the future expenditures of funds from Title XX of the Social Security Act. Primarily, services from this fund are designed to address the needs of low to middle income families.  The public is encouraged to give their input on the Title XX social service needs in the community.
